In this district, Youth Red Cross unit, established 5 years back at the Rabindra Sadan Girls College, Karimganj. Every year, a batch of 50 girl students are enrolled and they are trained in First Aid, Disaster Management & allied subjects, youth force is the real strength of the country. They are reserve cadre of dedicated workers and potential leaders whose service may be utilized in any emergency or calamity natural or manmade. Hence effort is made to generate in them a sense of discipline and a zeal for voluntary service.
